Children below five years of age who had missed their Pulse Polio dose during the previous three days were administered the life-saving oral polio vaccine under the nationwide slogan “दो बूंद ज़िन्दगी की”. A total of 60 children benefited from the campaign. The initiative reflects DVC KTPS’s continued commitment to safeguarding child health and supporting the Government of India’s mission to sustain a polio-free nation through universal immunization.
Nutrition as a Weapon Against Tuberculosis
DVC Konar, under its CSR initiative and the Government of India’s Nikshay Poshan Yojana, distributed nutrition kits to 60 tuberculosis (TB) patients at the Vishnugarh Community Health Centre in Hazaribagh. The programme was organized following the Deputy Commissioner’s directions to provide nutritional support alongside medical treatment. Each kit contained nutritious food items such as gram, lentils, jaggery, mustard oil, soybean oil and soya chunks to improve patients’ immunity and recovery.
